Hello, my name is Jennifer Boyd and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about supporting all of my clients through various challenges or traumatic experiences and helping them experience healing and growth in their lives. My approach is client-centered, so I am focused on meeting each client with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I have experience working with adolescents, teens, women, couples, and families. I have helped these different populations work through anxiety, marital distress and/or relationship issues, depression, low self-esteem, family conflict, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, and other forms of trauma. I utilize an eclectic theoretical approach based on the client’s needs, but my primary modalities (or styles) are Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Family Systems. I feel honored to work with each of my clients since I recognize that it is a vulnerable process to allow someone else into personal parts of our journeys. My initial goal for each of my clients is that they feel safe and when they end their therapy they have accomplished their goals and gained more healing and skills to manage their day-to-day challenges in their lives.
