My name is Jennifer Gaebe, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Fresno, California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in addiction, stress/anxiety, and depression using a variety of modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy, to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach My approach to therapy is eclectic and draws upon a broad and diverse range of theoretical orientations based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Narrative Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, as I find these modalities helpful for building a shared understanding of your reality and allow us to work together to chart a path forward. My focus I have found that my style and approach is a good fit for adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, and substance use. I work to assist my clients in developing skills they can use to help them navigate these periods of change, improve their relationship with themselves and others, and to help foster hope and meaning for a more positive outlook on life. My communication style My communication style is relaxed, accommodating, and personable with an approachable feel. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, without fear of judgement, so they have the space and support they need to develop overall wellness and achieve a renewed sense of control. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own, very personal journey of lived experience and recovery. My gratitude to those who walked beside me and encouraged me during this time was so abundant, I wanted to give back by providing the same opportunity and support to others that had been given to me.
