Greetings! My name is Jennifer. I am an LCSW with a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois with 17 years of experience. I have worked in a community mental health center as a therapist working with adults with chronic mental illness, at an addictions treatment center working with moms with additions, and in a medical hospital working with patients and families on adjustment to illness and end of life challenges. Working most recently in a hospital, I am very familiar with caregiver burnout and the trauma that many healthcare workers have faced dealing with COVID for the past (almost) two years. I also really enjoy working with young adult females that are transitioning into adulthood -- sometimes adjusting to college/university life, sometimes processing the transitions to adulthood and the effect of their histories, other times reflecting to relationships, etc...

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals recognize the impact of their thoughts on their feelings and behaviors, and Solution Focused Therapy to build on individual strengths create solutions to challenges. I am particularly strong with the under 30 age group. I look forward to working with you!
