About

I am a licensed professional counselor(LPC-S) and a supervisor to professional counselor candidates. I have been counseling for ten years and have worked with a variety issues and problems ranging from individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I have experience treating clients suffering from anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and many other issues.

My theoretical approach to counseling involves cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment that is scientifically proven to improve distressing symptoms such as anxiety and depression. I am warm and compassionate with my clients as well as authentic and driven to improve their quality of life with the many skills have acquired through graduate school, continuing education, and experience. Objective and measurable goals will be determined by the client and myself to develop a treatment plan to address specific problems and issues currently causing distress. The treatment plan is designed for each individual client to reach their ultimate success.

It takes courage and self-awareness to reach out to a counselor for help, and I am ready to help you reach your life goals and eliminate distress by utilizing methods based on research and evidence with CBT. I look forward to working with you when you are ready to make a change.
