Hi, and welcome to Find A Therapist! My name is Jenica Rea (like "ray") and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama. I have been a therapist for 10 years and have practiced in states across the U.S. I enjoy working with all ages but have the most experience working with adolescents and adults, primarily in the areas of depression, anxiety, stress management, anger management, traumatic disorders, bipolar disorders, self-esteem/confidence, LGBTQ+ issues, and marriage and family issues. My most common modalities of therapy are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Rational-Emotional Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness & Acceptance Therapy, in addition to Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I also hold a strong belief that humans are incredible, infinitely valuable, thus have the ability to self-heal. I also believe that sometimes we just need someone to show us how. This is where I come in! I am here to show you and teach you new skills and techniques, guide you in applying them in the real world, then allow you to practice them and blossom into a better you!
