Welcome and thank you for your interest in letting me provide services for you! My name is Jeff and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. I have been working in the field of mental health as a counselor for 12 years. I have worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, alcohol/drug, and crisis. I have counseled individuals with issues ranging from minor life stressors to severe, persistent mental illness and virtually everything in-between. I have a wealth of experience and would love to put my expertise to work for you.
My counseling style is based primarily on two approaches - Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I place a strong emphasis on rapport building and the therapeutic relationship. I believe that, without the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance between counselor and client, significant change is unlikely or, at least, harder to achieve.
