About

I am licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of NH. I received my Master’s Degree from Southern NH University and have been working in this field for thirteen years. I am an Emergency Services Clinician and work in a very busy Emergency Department. This is an acute care setting where people of all ages and back grounds are seem, and often have hit ‘their bottom.” We must get it right in the short time we spend with a person or family in order to establish a solid and safe disposition. But with support and guidance even the most difficult of circumstances can be conquered. I have worked as an in-office therapist utilizing a blend of therapeutic styles to address individual needs. Mindfulness is especially effective for the treatment of anxiety, as anxiety cannot exist in the present moment. My competencies also include the treatment of depression, OCD, PTSD, relationship issues and anger management. I have operated a martial arts school since 1980 which has and continues to enrich my work in mental health, especially with youths. Cultivating a determined focus and setting both short- and long-term goals are key when working through obstacles. In this process one develops increased self-esteem, confidence and becomes empowered. My approach to both martial arts and mental health is based in finding solutions yet understanding that setbacks are part of growth. Taking small steps leads to momentum which results in success. I hope you will allow me to become part of your success.
