Welcome to Find A Therapist!

My name is Jeannie, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Interpersonal Practice, from Wayne State University in 2013. I've worked in a variety of settings with individuals and families who have a range of personal issues such as stress/anxiety, depression, family problems, relationships, parenting concerns, life transitions, mental health disorders, trauma, and more.

I feel that one of the most important aspects of getting help is having a connection and trust with the person you select to share your inner most personal challenges. I would like to be that person for you.

My counseling style is gentle, compassionate, engaging and non-judgmental. I am culturally sensitive. I focus on you and what you have to say to help you move forward. I utilize a blend of Evidence Based Therapies such as Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you become empowered and find your inner strength. I am passionate about your success in therapy. I will ensure to personalize our conversations and treatment plan to meet your specific needs and desires. Together, we will find your way.

You may message me anytime through Find A Therapist. The frequency with which you can have contact with me to work through day to day emotions and problem solving is your decision. I have found it beneficial to clients to be able to have access to their therapist when needed in addition to a regular schedule. Some weeks are just tougher than others. I usually check messages twice each day, seven days per week. I offer live chat, phone sessions, and messaging. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability so you always want to check that out with me through messaging first.
