About

*A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation of appointments or a cancellation fee will be charged.* If you are feeling anxious, depressed, like no one understands what you’re going through, you’ve come to the right place. You are not alone. Jeanne (sounds like genie) works with teenagers, young adults, and adults to identify their struggles and set goals to overcome them. She utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Family Systems to improve emotional regulation and recognize recurring patterns. Jeanne provides these techniques to help clients learn how to cope with life stressors in a healthy way. In an ever changing world, Jeanne believes in the importance of connection. Some thoughts and feelings feel too much to bear alone. Therapy gives people the space to share the joys and struggles of life. Through her warmth, compassion, and genuineness, Jeanne walks alongside her clients in their journey as they share their stories. She knows that people have the capacity to heal and grow. Jeanne has training in multicultural competence. As a Korean-American, she knows first-hand the importance of sitting with clients who may struggle with culture, identity, miscommunication, and intergenerational conflict. She enjoys working with diverse populations in regards to race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. Jeanne graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (hook ’em) with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and her Master’s degree in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. She has experience in both non-profit and private practice settings. Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up. -Brene Brown. It is not easy to ask for help and it can be terrifying to set up your first appointment. Sometimes, the hardest part is starting. Contact New Heights Counseling and ask to set up an appointment with Jeanne to get you feeling better today.
