I contract as an on-call crisis clinician serving those struggling with crisis issues including both homicidal and suicidal emergencies for the past 5 years. A further contract with various County Jails to address mental health and adjustment issues, offering therapy for detainees. I have also operated as Career Counselor with the County providing assessments and goals at all levels of abilities and education. Practice of 7+ years working with adults with various cognitive abilities to meet their individual goals. Additionally, 10 years’ experience with Dual Diagnosed adults with social and intellectual disabilities. I use an Eclectic, Existential approach to counseling drawing from the top theories and allowing for a very personal experience. Some theories pulled from include Person Centered, CBT and Realistic Therapy. I provide a therapeutic setting supporting progress toward treatment goals, personal growth, and positive change. The environment provided includes emotional safety, engagement and communication.
