Welcome!
My name is Jeanette and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio, providing individual and group therapy for almost 10 years. I know that finding a therapist who fits your emotional needs can feel overwhelming and personality can play a big part in that. So while I definitely want tell you about my professional experience, I also want to share information that will help you decide if we would be a good professional match. One of my biggest priorities is building a strong working relationship with clients by creating a safe space that emphasizes genuine empathy and acceptance. I take my work very seriously but I don't take my self too seriously, which means I'm always open to feedback from my clients about how I can make every interaction positive for them.

I tend to focus on the person-centered approach while incorporating aspects of motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral interventions but I'm also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and narrative therapy. I've worked in a variety of settings (including schools, homes, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient services, and tele-health) with clients from age 6 through adulthood to address concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and loss.

During our work together, we will identify the symptoms or behaviors that are making it difficult for you to life your best life and then develop a treatment plan to address those in a way that makes you feel empowered. I'm a big believer in acknowledging and emphasizing your strengths throughout our sessions to build resilience along the way. I like to integrate a variety of other wellness habits including holistic practices, mindfulness & meditation, artistic or creative expression, and sensory soothing.
