About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with seven years of experience in the mental health field. During that time, I have worked extensively with diverse populations, such as families, couples, and individuals of all ages. I am a trauma-focused trained practitioner. I have experience treating families and individuals who have been affected by trauma, primarily, sexual assault, domestic violence, and community violence. As a result of trauma, many of my clients experience PTSD, anxiety and depression. My goal is to give my clients the guidance and resources they need to take back control and start living their lives to the fullest. Mental health issues can have serious harmful effects on an individual’s quality of life. However, I believe that with an empathetic, compassionate approach, everyone can live a happier, more productive life. I aim to foster a judgment-free space where clients are free to communicate openly and honestly. In doing so, I hope that they can discover their voice and inner strength beyond what they had previously imagined. In addition to holding a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, I have received vast training at the community level. Working for a local non-profit, I have consulted with a wide variety of educators, students, and clinicians, each of whom has provided me with invaluable guidance. As a result, I feel prepared to help my clients cope with whatever issues are preventing them from living their truest and fullest expression of themselves.
