Hello, my name is Jean. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I understand that you may have questions about therapy…. Can you help me? Can you see the struggles I face? Is it possible for me to get beyond my current dilemma? Why do I feel this way? and Can you understand truly me? The answer is YES! I can help you begin your way to emotional growth and well-being. My goal is to meet every client where they are and help provide growth and emotional support for them no matter how stuck they may feel. I want my clients to feel alive, and not just cope with their problems but to look at life in a new way. I aim to create moments of change in every session, helping clients expand upon self-awareness and realize their own potential. I know active listening, understanding, and unconditional positive regard help my clients explore their own ways of self-healing. My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, Narcissistic abuse, grief and loss, gender identity, and LGBTQ issues. I am certified in hypnotherapy and have a particular passion for working with the LGBTQ community. I primarily work with adults, seniors, and teens (17-19) utilizing both a Client-Centered and a Holistic approach in addition to integrating Mindfulness techniques into my approach to therapy.
