I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 32 years of experience. I have worked with clients with various concerns, including depression, anxiety, parenting, marital difficulties, and betrayal trauma. I have worked with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse and provided a safe place to process their pain and learn the impact of their past and how it impacts their present circumstances. Together we change ineffective patterns of behaviors and coping to more effective ways to manage and change. I believe in a holistic approach, and my style is directive but compassionate and patient. I think that progress is made outside of the therapy session and will often suggest strategies to practice during the week to make lasting changes. I use a combination of theoretical approaches but use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered, and solution-focused. Every treatment plan is unique to the person’s needs in front of me, and goals are reached together. Taking the first step is always tricky, but doing it may change your life!
