My name is Jean Loar and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am so glad you have reached out today. I have been in practice in the Dallas area for thirty-four years. At some point in most of our lives we find the need to reach out to someone to guide us through and support us in examining our own internal conflict or issues and finding our way back to better place. It would be my honor to assist you in that journey.

My experience encompasses working with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and individual, family and marital issues. I have worked in a hospital setting but have spent most of my career in private practice. Additionally, I have worked in corporate Employee Assistance Settings (EAP) as well as in crisis intervention. I enjoy working with young adults through geriatrics. I also enjoy working with families and couples as a part of my practice. The techniques I utilize are typically cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness based and solution-focused therapy,
