I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience. I have been privileged to work in Outpatient Mental Health Clinics and Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Programs. I have supervised students and interns in an Outpatient Clinic in recent years. I am also a Registered Nurse since 1976 and have worked in Inpatient Mental Health Units and Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Programs. My treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. My approach is thoughtful, warm, nonjudgmental, open, and honest. My background has led me to become interested in the effects of medical issues on Mental Health and the impact of Mental Health on physical wellness. The complexity of these issues deserves innovative and educated approaches, with treatment plans and realistic goals that can be achieved. The process of change for the good can be measured in "Stages of Change" by Prochaska and Declemente. In life's journey, the opportunity to serve is a privilege and an honor.
