Hi, I'm Javen! I earned my Master of Education in counseling and am currently working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology specializing in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. I began my work career in the Marine Corps and have worked as a teacher, school counselor, and licensed mental health counselor since. I have experience with both adolescent and adult populations in the community-based, school-based, clinic, and correction systems. At my core, I believe being non-judgmental and client-centered are fundamental elements of being a counselor, and I hold those values while working with people.
