About
Hi there! Thank you for reading my profile and considering me to support you at this time. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT with over 10 years of experience working with adolescent/teens and young adults. My graduate school training focused on Narrative and Solution Focused, Collaborative and Competency-Based Therapies, but I pull from various models when working with patients/clients.
Over the course of these last few years, I’ve had the fortune of being able to work with so many different people who I admire for their enlivening and inspiring lives and pursuits. We all have dreams, we all face obstacles and we all endure losses along our way.
Maybe it is sadness that has brought you to this site over your life circumstances. Maybe it is a longing for a relationship. Is it a desire to be different in life? Is it a need to heal from the past? Have you separated from a long time love and now feel lost? Perhaps you would like to build motivation or courage to walk out your door every day and thrive in a world that demands more from you than you can handle. I have found that the most important thing anyone really needs when they feel stuck, hurt and dissatisfied is a listening ear, a compassionate heart and a comforting voice.
My interest is in attachment theory and how attachment styles influence the formation of significant relationships within which we create interpersonal working models. I use tools from cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies to teach ways to cope with stressors and manage intense emotions. Often, during the mobilization phases of therapy, I am with you as you travel at your pace, trying out some strategies and working on ways to build the relationships you want and asking for the things you need. You can then move forward with a newly uncovered sense of self and genuine confidence.
It brings me a lot of joy to find with you the strengths you’ve had all along and help you see a vision of the life you were always meant to live.
Where do you find yourself at this moment? Let’s talk.
