Hello! My name is Jasmin Carter. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Psychology. I went on to receive my Master of Sciences Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Educational Psychology: Community Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with many years of experience working with a diverse population of clients.

I am passionate about helping people discover the tools that are already within them to create positive and effective change in their lives. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to encourage clients to see the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Becoming aware of these connections can help clients to explore the many options that they have to create positive changes in their lives.

I also use techniques from several other therapeutic approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Ultimately, it is important to me to validate what a client is going through, while helping them to understand ways to improve the quality of their lives.
