Hi there, I'm Jarmela! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about assisting my clients in navigating their way through challenges to experience healing and growth in their lives. My approach My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. My focus My client focus is around those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and difficulty with life transitions. My communication style My communication style is that of assertive communication. I like to be direct and honest with thoughts and feelings. I teach clients the benefit of using I statements in order to fully express their feelings. I am a very open and empathetic person that can put you at ease even during the most uncomfortable moments. My goals for you I go at the pace of the client and will push you as far as you are willing to go.
