Are you looking for someone to partner with you on your healing journey? We are not meant to walk through life alone. I would be happy for you to allow me to walk alongside you in this season of your life.

I am JaQueshia Allen, a Licensed Master’s Social Worker. My primary goal is to assist every individual in their therapeutic journey and provide a safe space for healing and growing. I have a passion for helping others to be their best self by creating a space where each person can feel secure, supported, heard, and affirmed.

I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I have a variety of experience working with families, children, and older adults in various practice settings: telephonic crisis counseling, medical setting, children’s services, and case management services. I have some training in Motivational Interviewing, as well as anxiety and crisis intervention strategies. I also have some knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Remotivation, and Reminiscence Group Therapies.

I believe in a person-centered approach and building a therapeutic relationship with every person as the foundation of my work with each individual. My desire is to help every person feel empowered, and to feel their whole and authentic self, while also providing insight and tools to help navigate their journey through life.

It takes strength and courageousness to be vulnerable and reach your hand out for help, so I am here to extend a helping hand back to you. I am happy that you have taken the first steps in exploring assistance. I will do my very best to help you in this journey. I look forward to meeting you!
