About

My name is Janna Perez, and I am Licensed Profession Counselor in the state of Texas with a background in visual and graphic arts. If you are looking for a therapist that provides a judge-free, compassionate, and safe environment with a holistic, person-centered, strength and evidence-based therapeutic approach then we may be a good fit for your healing journey! Building trust is essential within the therapeutic relationship and feeling safe allows you to engage in discussions that may have proven too difficult in the past, preventing your healing journey from moving forward. I will meet you where you are throughout the healing process and hope to bring mental clarity, guidance, and wellness as we go through this journey together. I have specialized training in the following: Positive Parenting Programing, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, childhood trauma, family violence, emotional/psychological abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss/bereavement, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and in-patient psychiatric mental health care. It is important that while working on your mental health journey, that I am there to support you in collaborating treatment planning and goal setting, and teaching coping skills that you will practice in session and implement in the real world. This will empower you as you continue to gain the confidence needed to tackle your unique struggles. You will also be encouraged to discover outside resources in your community to help you build a strong outside support system which is also an essential piece of your healing journey. Challenging you to shift your perspective and/or change behaviors might also be part of your therapy journey with me. There is no time limit towards your healing journey. We all heal differently and need different tools and support as we push through what may feel like a never-ending cycle. Let me help you break that cycle and start a new journey! A journey where you walk away feeling hopeful, empowered, confident and always pushing to be your best self.
