I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University. As an adolescent, I developed a passion for helping others improve their lives. I maintain a strong desire to provide support to individuals of all ages who deal with psychological challenges. I am dedicated to assisting adults with navigating life’s challenges by utilizing individualized care and evidence-based approaches. I have had the opportunity to provide mental health therapies and crisis response services in a wide range of settings within my career. I utilize treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in gaining insight, developing problem-solving skills, and regulating emotions. I enjoy supporting clients in processing negative thought patterns that impact their quality of life and providing psychoeducation on how to reconstruct thoughts to gain new perspectives. Inspired by the quote of therapist Amy Morin: “Time doesn’t heal anything, it’s how we deal with that time that determines the speed at which we heal,” I take pride in empowering clients to become the experts of their own lives.
