Hello,
My name is Janice Middleton and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Louisiana. I have been licensed for 7 years and I have been in mental health for 17 years. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a master in counseling. My treatment modality is mainly cognitive behavioral therapy, but I also use other modalities including, but not limited to, psychodynamic, behavioral, and person-centered therapies. I have been trained in trauma focus, PTSD of youth and adolescents, CPP, and TBRI.

Choosing to get counseling is a serious decision. It is not always an easy choice. But, getting help with your issues is a good thing. We all need help sometime. Counseling is an opportunity to talk with someone without judgment. Your counselor is unbias. Your counseling environment should be a safe place to express your thoughts and feelings.
