About

Hi! My name is Janet Murillo, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping people struggling with challenges reach their full potential. I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool for healing and growth. My approach My approach is client-centered. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life and that my role is to help them access their own strengths and resources. I also employ other therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the client to help in their healing journey, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. My focus I have been practicing therapy for over 8 years, and I work with a wide range of clients in different age groups. I specialize in helping people ages 12 and up cope with a wide range of challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and life transitions. My communication style I consider myself a calm, warm, and compassionate therapist. I pride myself on creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely and without judgment. My journey to therapy I was driven to do this work because I believe it is important. I believe everyone should have access to quality mental health care, and I want to be a part of making that happen. I am also driven by the sense of satisfaction that I get from helping people. I find it rewarding to see someone make progress in therapy. My goals for you Goal setting is an important process of therapy in which the client and I work together to determine what the client wants to accomplish during our time together. I would start by getting to know the client and their individual needs. I would ask them about their goals for therapy, what they hope to achieve, and what they are hoping to change in their lives. I would then work with the client to develop a plan to achieve their goals.
