Sometimes we need a smile, a safe place, and the skills to keep going; I am happy to share what I can with you. I wear many hats: counselor, coach, cheerleader. My style has been described as approachable and my laugh as contagious, which seems to have helped ease the process of getting help through troubled times. I consider myself a trauma-informed practitioner – there may be events from our past informing our present actions whether we know it or not. While revisiting the past may feel scary, it has been rewarding for my clients who have been able to report both clarity and return to themselves through our work. If you want to stay in the present and work toward the future, then my knowledge and experience as a social worker with all ages and many settings may be helpful to you – the pragmatic ways to recalibrate your life to feel like it is a better fit. I integrate whatever I have found effective into my services, but specifically, I utilize EMDR, CBT, and DBT in my work.
