About
I see you, I hear you and you matter! First and foremost, I want to thank you and congratulate you on taking your first step towards healing! Making the decision to engage in therapy is not always an easy one and at times comes with hesitation. However, as individuals we all face trials and tribulations, needing a little extra support and a listening ear to guide us through finding the light at the end of the tunnel. Through a compassionate and non-judgemental approach I believe you will feel heard and understood making space to collaboratively address your goal to living the life you want and deserve! I believe that the key to a healthy therapeutic relationship is trust and rapport building. Therefore, I would like to take a moment to share with you my experience as a therapist. I have worked in clinical settings for the past 8 years with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transition challenges, oppositional behaviors, grief and loss, couples and family conflicts, and trauma. In my work with clients, my therapeutic approach is person-centered in which I believe it is important to “meet the client where they are”; you are the master of your life and know the details best. Through the Person-Centered approach we will collaboratively identify and embark on the journey to discovering what it means to “be your best self and live your best life”. In addition to Person-Centered Therapy, I am also trained in evidence-based therapy modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) ,Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused , and Functional Family Therapy. A quote by Carl Jung states “ I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”. Fascinated by brain development and how life experiences shape the person we become, I have been trained and certified in Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Therapeutic Model(NMT).
