Hello and welcome!
My name is Janelle Potts. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Marywood University in Scranton. Over the past 10 years, I have gained experience working with children, adolescent, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings including outpatient, residential, corrections and medical settings. I am comfortable using a variety of approaches to address concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships concerns and other issues.
My counseling style is warm, accepting, and compassionate and I work together with my clients to tailor our approach to their personal need. I am down to earth and related, putting my clients at ease. I enjoy emphasizing my clients’ strengths and abilities, inspiring change and growth and providing tools to assist them even after counseling is completed. I rely on strategies from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, trauma informed, Solution Focused, Client centered, family systems approaches.
