Hey there! I'm Janelle and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I'm so looking forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals! Some people like to talk in therapy; others, not so much. We can use a variety of methods in therapy, such as using play, creating art, moving our bodies, and even discussing themes and patterns in your favorite music, shows and movies. I have over five years of experience providing therapy to youth, adolescents and teens, through individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and consultation and collaboration with caregivers. I also have additional experience working with older adults and have recently started providing therapy to young adults. I have treated a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and impulses, self-harm, trauma, interpersonal abuse and domestic violence, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, ADHD, defiance and oppositional behavior, behavioral issues, grief and loss, life transitions and change, self-esteem, divorce and separation, and anger. I also have unique experience providing telehealth/virtual therapy and working with individuals that are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
