Hi there, I'm Janel! Janel Sabori-Wood, LCSW I have been in the mental health field of almost 14 years. I have worked with individuals, groups, and couples who have struggled with a variety of different diagnoses. My approach I commonly use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered, and ACT therapeutic approaches however I use approaches that work best for the client. My focus I am the most comfortable treating clients who struggle with anxiety and depression. However, I am also comfortable working with those who struggle with Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and PTSD. My communication style I am an open communicator and will be assertive with my clients. I hope to also get that back in return in order to build a rapport in treatment and help the client feel respected and heard. My journey to therapy I have wanted to be in the mental health field for many years. I have always found that everyone's mental health is so unique and complex. I want to help others build confidence in themselves and feel empowered no matter what their diagnosis may be. Being in treatment will help build a brighter future for yourself. My goals for you I use a client-centered approach when goal setting and will always include the client in session on what goals they want to achieve in treatment and intervention that will be used. My first session with you Compassion, empathy, and kindness. I want the client to learn about me just as much I want to learn about them. This helps us build a rapport and develop trust.
