About

I founded the North Dallas Individual and Family Therapy Center and over the past 40 years helped families, couples, individuals and teens overcome their emotional and situational challenges with improved mental health and renewed perspective. My therapeutic style reflects my graduate training in Brief Problem Solving Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Restructuring in the treatment of of problems such as depression, anxiety, grief, addictions, shyness and social phobias. My post-graduate experience with Mental Illness focuses on suicide prevention, intervention for Bi-Polar and Borderline Personality Disorders as well as trauma-related disorders. I completed extensive training in Life Skills, a cognitive psycho-educational program used in the aftermath of crisis situations such as Columbine. I've worked with the Dallas Diagnostic Association, Brookhaven Psychiatric Pavilion, and been an adjunct professor for graduate students at TWU and Texas Wesleyan University. A percentage of my free time is devoted to causes that reflect my passions and clinical interests including all aspects of psychology, health and wellness, and self-improvement. For my mental health I read, relax, hike, bike, weight-lift, box, pray and walk my dog.
