About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Denver in International Disaster Psychology, a program focused on cultural competency and trauma. My experience lies in providing outpatient therapy to a range of individuals including refugees, low-income, and those suffering from homelessness. Due to this, I have worked with many different types of mental health issues, ranging from adjustment disorder to depression to psychosis, among others. Whatever brings you into therapy, I am ready to jump in with you.

My approach to therapy depends on you and what your goals are for therapy, meaning that my treatment will be tailored and individualized for you. I primarily utilize the evidence-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. Then I adapt and pull from other modalities as is appropriate for the person sitting in front of me like Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Relational Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic.

That being said, the most critical piece of my practice is providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to challenge yourself, grow, and meet your goals. Therapy is hard, gritty, ugly and yet, transformative - the only way we get to where you want to go is through rawness, vulnerability, and honesty. So my job is to create an environment that makes the process possible, a place where you feel comfortable voicing your struggles, insecurities, fears, worries.... whatever it may be.
