Hello, I'm Jamie DiMarco. I'm a licensed, clinical social worker, or rather, LCSW from Upstate New York. I graduated with my Master's degree in 2008 from Roberts Wesleyan College, and went on to serve the Rochester area. After spending 7 years as a medical social worker, working with at-risk, diverse communities, I became inspired to become a mental health therapist. Listening to so many stories of hardship and bravery, gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone, and answer my own calling.

I'm a big believer of the "it's always darkest before night, "philosophy. Turning painful experiences into wisdom and strength. How do we work together to improve your quality of life? How do we get past the versions of you that aren't really who you are? Sessions focus on developing distress tolerance skills, mindfulness, and radical self acceptance, while we challenge harmful thoughts that don't give you an accurate picture of all your potential and achievements. The focus is on the whole self, creating a safe and unlimited narrative, and you are the author of your own life experiences. Powerful stuff, right?

My experience is best with adults, and older adults, and helping those struggling with PTSD, Bipolar and Mood Disorders (Depression), Anxiety Disorders, Grief and Loss, Caregiver Relationships, Geriatric Disorders. I take a sacred approach to my practice, viewing each client as a whole person and valuing the bravery and vulnerability it takes to walk on a healing path.
