I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I have been working in mental health for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of practice settings including the VA, outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient and outpatient units, and in rural health clinics. I have experience with a wide range of clinical issues including anxiety and stress related issues, depression, attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger and aggression, intellectual/developmental disabilities, trauma and abuse issues, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. Additionally, I’ve worked with relationship issues, career issues and LGBTQ related issues.

My counseling style is client-centered and culturally sensitive. I provide an environment that is non-judgmental, warm and supportive. The techniques used during sessions are eclectic in nature. My approach is always determined by the individual client’s needs. I incorporate evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness, solution-focused counseling, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I approach each session recognizing a client’s strengths and helping them on their healing journey.

I strongly believe that everyone needs someone in their life that they can share their troubles and triumphs with. Just like you see your doctor for annual visits, or even take your car in for regular maintenance, we all need to check in on our mental health from time to time. It takes a lot of courage to come to the realization that you could benefit from seeking help. Congratulations on taking the first step to self-discovery and inner healing.
