Hello! I’m a faithful social worker at heart. I received my bachelor’s in social work from Colorado State University and then my master’s in clinical social work from Tulane University. At that time, I developed a substance abuse treatment program for minors and their families. Since then, my experience has been working for UCSD hospital for over ten years. This experience has allowed me to work with patients in all kinds of situations. I have much experience working with people needing crisis intervention, from debilitating substance abuse and homelessness to schizophrenia and end-of-life transitions. I am a committed and highly dedicated mental health practitioner with solid proficiency in behavioral counseling. With excellent diagnostic skills and therapeutic applications, I start where the patient is and assist them in moving forward. My innate and exceptional ability to observe, evaluate, and interview patients to determine mental and emotional health issues plaguing them is most helpful to patients. Highly skilled in working with other care professionals to provide patients with the best intervention and crisis management services available.
