Hi there! I’m James “Derek” Slover, a caring and committed Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (Texas License #62399). As a therapist with 17 years of rich experience, my primary focus is on empowering individuals to overcome anxiety and depression. I'm also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you find balance and peace.

I understand the complex and often overwhelming nature of anxiety and depression. My approach with CBT is to help you develop coping strategies that bring lasting change, offering you tools to reframe negative thoughts and build a more positive outlook.

While anxiety and depression are my primary focus, my experience extends to supporting those dealing with bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, relationship challenges, weight management, and life transitions. I also have a special place in my practice for Veterans, Active Duty service members, and their spouses, recognizing the unique struggles they face.
