I have been in the helping profession since 2006. My career has focused on those handcuffed by substance use disorders and complex trauma. I have been fortunate to have worked all of the US providing interventions and clinical case management support to clients in the early stages of recovery. Over the years I have developed multiple programs to assist clients in accessing sustained recovery from substance use disorders and processing traumas that have paralyzed them from engaging life. My typical client is one who is just getting ready to dip their toe into the idea of recovery or starting the healing process. Many times families begin the process with a phone call and a consultation. I completed my undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University in 1996 and my master’s degree in counseling from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2006.
