About

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in Alabama. I have over nine years of experience providing a wide range of governmental social services from working with individuals and families associated with child protective services due to abuse and neglect to working with offenders on probation and parole attempting to reintegrate into society. I have over three years of experience providing direct clinical services. I have worked with clients impacted by a wide range of concerns including trauma and abuse, stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, coping with addictions, family conflicts, parenting issues, and coping with life’s challenges.

My counseling style is laid back, open, and interactive. I believe a sign of a strong counselor is one who encourages and facilitates a client to critically analyze his and her own thought patterns and behaviors. I strongly believe in the identification, development, and maintenance of individualized coping skills and the development and constant re-evaluation of short and long-term goals. Using an approach of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, rational-emotive counseling, with a heavy emphasis on education and self-awareness; I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
