Hi, my name’s Jalisa I earned my Bachelors in Psychology and Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz and my Masters in Social Work from NYU. I am currently applying for my CASAC-T, to better assist individuals with substance use disorders. I consider my as an empathetic therapist with understanding and value for cultural competence. I am passionate about encouraging mental hygiene and empowerment with marginalized populations. I have experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders that utilize medicated assisted treatment. I’m also experienced with working with adolescents, justice involved persons, and individuals facing homelessness. I take pride in my unbiased perspectives, when working with clients and providing person-centered therapy.
