Thank you for choosing Find A Therapist. It takes a lot of courage and strength to take steps to prioritize your mental health. My name is Jalessa Jones and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA) in the state of North Carolina. I have been practicing for 3 years and also hold certificates in Gerontology and in Military Trauma & Counseling. I have experience working with a diverse client population providing individual, family and couples counseling for adults and adolescents. I address a variety of concerns including: addictions, relationship issues, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, bereavement, and parental guidance.
I use an integrated framework and evidence based practice to support the journey of change and growth. I incorporate concepts such as Cognitive Behavior theories, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Attachment Theory and a Strengths Based Perspective. I incorporate Mindfulness and a Biopsychosocial-spiritual approach in treatment. I believe in treatment, it is crucial to develop a therapeutic alliance between the counselor and the client in order to promote change. Change is sometimes slow but with commitment and effort, you can accomplish your goals of psychological, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
