Welcome! I'm so glad you reached out. I'm Dr. Jackie Johnson and I'm a doctoral-level clinical social worker, specializing in trauma recovery. I've assisted clients deal with and heal from numerous sources of trauma, including domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, religious trauma and spiritual abuse, cult involvement, victimization from crime, trauma sustained by racial and gender discrimination, and most other power and control situations. I have extensive training on LGBTQ+ issues and have worked with many individuals and families through the processes of coming out and transitioning.

I am a member of the International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) and a recommended counselor by ICSA for individuals who have been victims of cult involvement. I am an international speaker on the topics of cults, cult recovery, and women's cognitive development relative to subjugation.

My style is supportive and compassionate. I, too, am a trauma survivor and I know firsthand what it's like to long for the freedom from trauma. In our work together, we will take a deep look into your personal history and your trauma timeline, and we will focus on recovery, healing, and post-trauma identity. We will set real goals and do real work and we will keep track of your progress. I will walk with you every step of the way. You will learn to protect yourself from further trauma and abuse, and you will become stronger and softer, as trauma recovery is not about becoming hardened.
