About

I am drawn to this line of work due to my care and concern for others as well as my interest in the connections between our thoughts, emotions, minds, and bodies. As a therapist, I’m inspired by my clients’ commitment to lead more fulfilling lives by shifting past thought and behavior patterns that no longer serve them. I received a Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. My educational and professional background include experience with concerns such as anxiety and depression, body image and eating disorders, life and career transitions, as well as more generally, finding meaning and purpose in one’s life. My therapeutic style can be described as collaborative and firmly rooted in the evidence-based practice of CBT. I also utilize other effective methods and techniques from modalities such as DBT and ACT, where necessary. My aim as your advocate in therapy is to incorporate practical techniques and strategies from which to draw upon when faced with the challenges of daily life. I am committed to developing a warm, and open alliance with my clients, informed by the understanding that we are constantly evolving as individuals, and therefore our work may require a degree of flexibility to best suit your needs. Ultimately after our time together, I want you to walk away not only feeling better than when you first came in, but feeling valued, heard, and seen.
