Clients seeking treatment would ultimately want to see a reduction in the distressing symptoms they are experiencing due to substance use; whether that be from total abstinence or a harm reduction approach. They would want to achieve these goals for a better personal life, less interpersonal relationship issues, process and move forward with their traumas. I can help a client reach their goal by using Motivational Interviewing and CBT techniques to process why they are using substances, what they gain from substance use and how we can replace substance use with healthier options. I can help a client manage symptoms of their co-occurring disorder and work towards a reduction in symptoms. I look forward to working with my clients and building relationships that are based in trust, respect, compassion and in a safe and a non-judgmental environment. My focus is to support each person’s personal development, work towards goals, help navigate life’s challenges along with celebrating its successes.
