Hi! My name is Jackie and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. I have over 10 years experience working in the field and have worked in a variety of settings and positions including supervisory roles. I work with a variety of different clients, including ones with depression, anxiety and personality disorders. I follow a trauma-informed approach and believe you are the expert in/on your life. I have also spent time working with the refugee population and people who have addictions .
My counseling style is laid-back and interactive. I am trained in CBT, DBT, Motivational interviewing and EMDR. I come from a trauma-informed background and use this in my approach with clients. I believe you are the expert on your life and sometimes we just need some guidance.
