My name is Scott Brown. I value genuine communication so my therapy is done in an open and conversational way. I am very supportive of my clients and , where appropriate, playful. I see therapy as the coming together of two experts: you are an expert in yourself and I am an expert in human behavior and emotion. We work together to help you laugh more and smile more. I will check in with you periodically to see what progress we are making towards the goals we set at the beginning of our work; it is very important to me to provide a real service that improves your quality of life. I have 37 years experience in the mental health field and have provided somewhere near 70,000 hours of psychotherapy.

I am trained and experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, client-centered therapy, hypnosis, reality therapy, motivation enhancement therapy, relapse prevention, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, family therapy, and others.
