As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am committed to working with you to create change by developing goals, identifying, and increasing strengths, processing experiences, empowering, nurturing, and providing psychoeducation to enable change. My name is Dr. Jacinta Brown-Wade I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. I have worked in the Behavioral Health field for 14 years providing community-based and full-partnership services to children, adolescents, families, and couples. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who have experienced anxiety, depression, anger management, ADHD, low self-esteem, PTSD, abuse/neglect, developmental trauma, emotional/sexual trauma, relationships problems, parenting difficulties, attachment difficulties, coping with life stressors, behavioral issues, grief and loss, addiction, and career and school difficulties. I have worked in partnership with clients and parents to develop ways to support skills, and improve relationships, and emotional development of their children. I describe my approach as empathetic, warm, goal-oriented and client-centered. My therapeutic approach is drawn from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (certified), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy model, Attachment theory, Solution-Focused, Functional Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and life coaching guided by individual needs, which reinforces strengths and abilities to facilitate change.
