My name is Ivana (Pareja) Martins. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LCADC) in the State of New Jersey. I also hold a post-master’s degree in counseling (EdS) and provide clinical supervision to candidates seeking licensure in New Jersey as a certified supervisor. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various mental health and addiction settings. I have helped many clients work through depression, anxiety, addiction, substance use and trauma.

With 18 years of experience in the counseling field, I thrive in ensuring my clients feel that they are “in good hands” through our working therapeutic relationship. It is important to me that my clients feel understood as well as heard and that our connection is based on trust, hope and faith that we can get there together. Our partnership will allow you to understand what you are experiencing, whether it is your first-time seeking counseling, or you have had previous experience, grounding your own sense of who you are, the reason you feel the way you do and how to make the change you desire.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic therapy. I will also accommodate your specific needs, “meeting you where you are at” while encouraging you to be “the best you”. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
