With over 10 years of experience in diverse settings, I have worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I have worked in child welfare, healthcare both in-patient and out-patient, Hospice, and private practice. I also have experience as an executive leader in a community health center. I was born and raised in Southern California but have lived in Texas for most of my adult years. My formal education includes the following: a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from National University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wiley College (HBCU). I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) with a concentration in Leadership Administration, at the University of Kentucky. My expertise includes depression/anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, chronic illness, adult ADHD, and faith-based counseling. I have taken expensive continuing education courses to enhance my knowledge.
