I am bilingual clinician with close to 13 years of experience who specializes in trauma informed approaches, life transitions, and personal challenges. My experience is extensive as I have worked with infants and young children; children with high-risk needs involved with the Department of Child and Family Services and in specialty services; and adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide-range of clinical presentations (anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, etc.). I have a collaborative approach that adapts treatment to the individual's needs. My approach I have training in trauma focused interventions/approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Systems Theory, Narrative, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic, and Motivational Interviewing. My focus I typically work with teens, young adults, and adults. I commonly treat individuals that struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, bullying, and self-esteem. My communication style I try to provide a safe environment for clients free of judgement. I am an empathic clinician that allows the individual to guide the session and have control over their treatment. I have a collaborative approach that assists clients in reaching their treatment goals. My journey to therapy I grew up in a disadvantaged community with limited resources. Many people in my community struggled with mental health and transitional issues. My community inspired me to work in a profession that helped others overcome life challenge, maximize their potential, and maximize their resources. My goals for you I try to create realistic and attainable goals by helping the client breakdown their ultimate treatment goal. Helping the client set realistic and attainable goals tends to maintain motivation in the client for treatment and change.
