Irena Pergjika is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York and New Jersey. Irena has years of experience working in diverse areas of the mental health field and believes a strong connection between the body and mind to be the foundation of all to come. Irena’s approach though electric, she primary utilizes a Client-Centered Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Irena closely assesses symptoms that cause emotional and physical discomfort and assists clients in clearly understanding their thought patterns, feelings and behaviors. When working together, Irena will help you heal past trauma and experiences that cause anxiety, depression and a variety of symptoms limiting you from living life to the fullest. Irena is interested in the person as a whole and considers the mind, body and spirit connection to increase awareness, insight, and understanding of patient's view of self and the world. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental and warm environment to promote open expression and self-discovery.
